One clear handoff
Keep customer context with the opportunity.
Sales stays in HubSpot
Keep customer identity and the sales pipeline in HubSpot, with an agreed stage for handing work to Centerpoint.
Operations gets the records
Create the linked company, client profile and opportunity that start the operational handoff.
IDs keep the link intact
Stored system IDs connect records across later runs, even when names or contact details change.
What moves
Three records. A traceable connection.
| HubSpot source | Centerpoint destination | Creation behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Company | Company | Reuse a company with the linked HubSpot ID, or create one with mapped name and address fields. |
| Primary deal contact | Client profile | Reuse the linked contact, or create a profile associated with the company. |
| Qualifying deal | Opportunity | Create the opportunity with its company, contact, name and mapped status when no Centerpoint opportunity is linked. |
| Centerpoint references | Written back to HubSpot | Store the Centerpoint company reference on the company and opportunity reference on the deal. |
This workflow creates and links records. It does not provide continuous two-way synchronization of every field. Existing matched companies and contacts are reused without being overwritten.
How it works
Turn the right deal into the next step.
- Choose the handoff point
Agree which HubSpot stages qualify. That may be a specific milestone rather than every early-stage deal.
- Pick up new or changed deals
The integration runs on a schedule and reviews deals modified since the previous run. A qualifying deal needs an associated company.
- Match the company and primary contact
Stored HubSpot IDs are checked against Centerpoint external identifiers. Existing linked records are reused; missing records are created according to the mapping.
- Create the Centerpoint opportunity
Map the deal stage to the appropriate Centerpoint status and associate the company and contact.
- Write the reference back
The Centerpoint opportunity ID is stored on the HubSpot deal. Later runs recognize the completed handoff and skip creating a duplicate opportunity.
Before go-live
Agree on the rules before moving records.
Decisions for your sales team
- Which deal stages trigger opportunity creation
- How pipeline stages map to Centerpoint statuses
- Which customer sales-status values to use
- Whether any secondary contacts should qualify
- How to handle a deal that is lost or moves backward
- How deal owners map to Centerpoint users
Start with clean links
If customers already exist in both systems, reconcile them before the first run. Review and approve proposed matches so existing records can be linked correctly.
Setup also requires an authorized HubSpot administrator, the agreed custom reference properties, field mappings and test records. Confirm address and country rules for your customer base.
Questions teams ask
A focused connection, with clear boundaries.
Is this a full two-way CRM sync?
No. The documented workflow focuses on creating and linking companies, primary contacts and opportunities from qualifying HubSpot deals. It writes Centerpoint references back to HubSpot; it does not continuously mirror every field.
What happens after the opportunity is created?
Centerpoint manages operational records such as properties, buildings, inspections, productions, service tickets and invoices. Those records are not mirrored into HubSpot by this workflow.
Does it sync every contact on a deal?
The baseline workflow uses the primary contact. Secondary contacts require an agreed selection rule and additional configuration.
Will it delete or reverse records automatically?
No cross-system deletion is included. Lost deals or backward stage changes do not automatically reverse an opportunity that has already been created. Define that follow-up process during setup.
Does a synced contact automatically get portal access?
No. Client portal access is a separate decision and is not enabled automatically by the integration.
Can we turn it on immediately?
Start with a scope and availability review. Pipeline rules, existing-customer reconciliation, owner mapping and test validation must be agreed before a live rollout.
